• We need good healthy protein to make our dopamine (which drives both our libido and motivation) and serotonin; these are our feel good chemicals, extremely critical.
  • Protein is not stored in the body and is only available as muscle.  If you do not consume protein at your mealtimes (throughout the day) your body will eat your muscle as it needs protein and you do want to maintain your muscle.  
  • The more muscle you have the more calories your body consumes to run itself.  It works a bit like cars: a particular model may have different engine sizes, the outside will look the same but the bigger engine will consume more fuel.
