Aspartame 

also known as NutraSweet, Equal is

  • an artificial sweetener:
  • 200 times sweeter than sugar
  • a potent neurotoxin (toxic to nervous system), a very powerful excitotoxin (toxin that excites the nervous system to the point that it exhausts the nerves)
  • made from 2 amino acids: phenylalanine and excitotoxin aspartate
  • implicated in complaints ranging from blindness to headaches to convulsions
  • Aspartame breaks down within 20 minutes in your body to:
  1. Formic acid (similar to ant venom)
  2. Formaldehyde (embalming fluid)
  3. Methanol (causes blindness, extremely dangerous toxin)
  4. DKP (diketopiperazine) when ingested it converts to a replica of a powerful brain tumor causing agent
  • There are plenty of natural sweeteners, if you need the sugar taste do try these, eg Xylitol or Stevia.

A few years ago the Swiss authorities announced that they had found traces of aspartame in the underground water reserves.  Aspartame has a very small molecule.   As not everyone finishes their coffee with the aspartame in it Aspartame is poured down the sink.  This then drains into the water system, circulates and is gifted back to the rest of the country’s tap water.  It is quite frightening to think that aspartame is now in our underground water reserves.  How did it get there?  I can only hazard a guess at landfills, garbage management; any rainwater would easily dissolve aspartame as it seeped through bringing it to the underground water pools.  I have no idea how Switzerland manages their water purification plants.
 

Sodium Nitrite/Nitrate:

Used to:
  • preserve food
  • maintain the red colour of red meat
  • add extra flavor
  • control bacterial growth

High Fructose Corn Syrup

This is NOT a natural product, the name is quite deceptive and it does NOT exist in nature, this has nothing to do with fruit fructose, it is an artificial hydrocarbon.  This is what it does to you:
  • raises Uric Acid levels = gout
  • increases risk of heart disease
  • raises bad cholesterol
  • reduces insulin and leptin production which are responsible for regulation of food intake. 
  • Raises the LDLs, bad cholesterol which helps with the increased heart disease
  • Interferes with hormones that create satiety
  • Genetic damage
Sugar: raises blood sugar which releases insulin by the brain which signals to the body that it is full so you stop eating.  HFCS goes directly to the liver where it converts into fat so there is no insulin release thus no signal from the brain to tell you that you are full and must stop eating.  The result is that with HFCS you eat more than you would normally so you should never start a meal with a soda drink with HCFS in it.

Caffeine 

Causes:
  • anxiety
  • fibrocystic breast disease
  • increases estrogen levels in women
  • may increase bone loss - osteoporosis
  • increases risk of stroke
  • increases rheumatoid arthritis risk
  • prostatic hypertrophy (enlarged prostrate)
  • lower back pain (the muscle which connects the hips, psoas muscle connected energetically to the kidneys, when you drink caffeine the kidneys filter the blood, caffeine is a toxin, as it accumulates in the kidney the kidney becomes imbalanced and short circuits so does the psoas muscle and the lumber spine becomes unstable results in lower back pain.  Disc herniation can also result from kidney imbalance)  
  • addiction (it is a drug)
  • it is acidic
  • reduces reflexes (mentally we feel more in control but our reflexes are greatly reduced)
  • Caffeine has a half-life of 5.7 hours in healthy adults ie if you consume 200mg of caffeine at 1200 you will still have 100mg at 1745.  People who have compromised liver function will produce a significantly lower half-life.  A 49 year old woman with alcoholic hepatic disease had a half-life of 168 hours.

  • added to food for the addictive effect it has on the human body (like a drug)
